Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. He is most known for his smoldering intensity alongside David Oyelowo on "Lawmen: Bass Reeves" (Paramount+) and his magnetic charm as a regular on “Run The World” (STARZ). Tosin is also an independent filmmaker whose festival-selected shorts include: "Endowed", a parable about fatherhood, and "On Sight", a social justice police thriller. Most recently, his proof-of-concept short “The Pulpit: Prelude” wracked up a dozen film festival accolades including “Best Actor” (Micheaux Film Fest). Tosin’s writing centers on stories of empathy, awareness, and belonging. On TV, he recurs on “Julia” (HBOmax), “The Chi” (Showtime), “Love Is (OWN), “Black Lightning” (CW) and “Chicago Med’ (NBC). He also stars in Amazon’s Blackbox, BET’s North of the 10 and Always A Bridesmaid, the erotic thriller, Friend Request and Oscar-winner Kevin Willmott’s “The 24th”, which was nominated for a NAACP Image award. Up next, he’ll costar in 1992 with Ray Liotta and Tyrese Gibson.
